EWI Studio wasn't dreamed up in a boardroom. It was built to run a real IELTS coaching business — then opened up so any teacher can run theirs the same way.
The problem
Great teachers, glued together by a dozen tools.
Independent English teachers are brilliant at teaching and buried in software — a doc for lessons, a video app for calls, a spreadsheet for progress, a payment link that isn't really theirs. Worse, the platforms that promise to help usually rent them students and put their own brand in front of the teacher's work.
The origin
We built it to run one real business first.
EWI Studio started as the engine behind English with Isabel, a working IELTS coaching business. Every part — the lesson builder, the live room, mock exams, the student portal, the payments — exists because a real teacher needed it to run real lessons for real students. Nothing here is a demo feature.
The turn
If it works for one teacher, it works for any teacher.
Once the platform ran a whole business end to end, the obvious next step was to let other teachers run theirs on it — with their own name, their own students and their own prices. Same engine, white-labelled. Isabel became teacher number one; you could be the next.
